<p>
Chinese incense holders (or bud vases). Something or nothing? There is a right hand and a left hand piece. They look strange to me. Each has a melon-shaped head, oddly flat on top, shaved bare except for a center tuft in green and a molded bar-like bit to either side. The decoration on these is rudimentary – hastily painted flowers that are blobs of cobalt blue surrounded by dots of green. The overall glaze has occasional flaws from the kiln and a pale green tint to it. Each was made of porcelain in a mold and seems to be hollow. Each figurine stands about 4 ½” tall and measures about 2 ½” side-to-side, 2” front to back. The opening for incense or flower is at the bottom of each cup and very narrow: about ¼” across. Anyone know anything about them? Old/new? Etc?</p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/hoozzatt/Temp/IncenseHoldersChineseFiguralVasesPair-a_zpsce7b7aad.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/hoozzatt/Temp/IncenseHoldersChineseFiguralVasesPair-e_zps2fa125dc.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/hoozzatt/Temp/IncenseHoldersChineseFiguralVasesPair-g_zpsa734bf24.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p><img src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v337/hoozzatt/eBay002/IncenseHoldersChineseFiguralVasesPair-j_zpse330dec4.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" />
</p><p><br /></p>
