    it looks like the metal was washed over the stone....so no....cept for the very top where the metal was used to help secure the bale.

    if that's what you were asking....

    I mean like, is that melted solid silver on the top of the stone? Not that the whole top is silver but is the material solid silver or other alloy?

    It could be but I don't know how anyone can tell just by looking at the photo. Lead that hardens on something looks exactly like that.
