Chinese...thing

I still have issues about this piece holding a fine decorative item, usually the stands were made specifically for the piece to be displayed, this was just as important to the Chinese, who were highly aware of presentation and display.
The three holes would fit that one piece and nothing else, here we see a short table top or floor wood stand or trivet, that seems to accommodate a wide number of sizes, for three footed objects or tripods. ????

 

In future, when in doubt, it is Peranakan. What, did you say Swedish......?
