Featured Chunky bakelite ? Bangle

    I'm going strictly on appearance & would say Bakelite. Style & semi-matte finish (like knobs on older stoves) are consistent with bangles I have seen offered by people who specialize in Bakelite jewellery. If a maker wanted this look, there would be no point in using Lucite.

    Hi,
    I have to disagree if the aroma/odor is sweet it certainly does not speak of Bakelite that I know.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:. The only way I need to test is with my nose.
    It has such an odor that once you smell it is really hard to forget. I have seen Bakelite covered with many finishes but the smell comes through even if faintly.

    I had another good rub n sniff, just for you Greg, smells to me like an old school gym !!

    I might have been wrong about the sweet !

    Most likely bakelite unless tiny fissures/cracks, then maybe vulcanite. You know by now due to testing, right?
