Clock not chiming

    Clocks with balance wheels do not have pendulums.

    Lower the pendulum bob a millimeter.

    This clock is striking, not chiming. A chime is 4 or more notes in a variable sequence. A strike is one or two notes in a fixed sequence.

    Another titbit is that tidbit is from the same people who brought you rooster for cock, and other Grundyisms.

    In the English dictionaries it is unashamedly TITbit.
