Contemporary Asain Vase W/Painted Squirrels & Flowers-How To Describe??

I bought this because I like it...I would like to know its Origin..Style...Markings...Etc.

Now tht is so sweet. Looks like an Asian watercolour painting! Yes, I would have bought it too, but although there's no pic of the base, I think it's a fairly recent production. The writing on the pot is most likely a poem or well known piece relating to the painting. Chinese or Japanese are the likely suspects, but I cant tell from the calligraphy.
