    My guess is Japanese.
    Your squash are sprouting leaves.;) They could be some kind of leek.

    Edit: not leek, I meant celery.:banghead:
    But it looks like something related to Bakers' zucchini/courgette could be right.

    Zucchini? Maybe the yellow at the ends are the fading flowers. ;)
