    Any clues to the maker of this pottery wall hanging?
    1970s maybe?

    Any help greatly appreciated!

    That's interesting, I thought it must be Scandinavian until I saw the mark which looks more like stylised Chinese or Japanese.

    I thought Dutch at first.;) I grew up with similar style wall hangings, made by artist friends of my parents. Early 60s rather than 70s.

    Some people think of The Netherlands as a Scandinavian country, btw. Similar culture, I guess.

    I certainly don't know but are those letters oW? The rest, in addition to what's been mentioned, sort of remind be of carved runes or an interpretation of some maybe.

    That's a Rosina Wachtmeister style cat. The girl looks more Wiinblad though. And he letters are BW which fits.

    I do think it's Scandi or German.

    Tis an unusual mark indeed!
    Does look like an oW atop some symbols. I thought oriental at first, but not convinced!
