Copper candlesticks with Chinese marks, anyone able to read them?

    They look strange,what is the little "gold" dot?Looks like some type of copper alloy and not sure which.Photos are out of focus and can't see details.

    Yes, upside down. Although these characters look same as Chinese, I believe it was made in Japan because Japanese contains some Chinese characters in it. Anyway, the characters just tell who made it.

    By the way, you should not take upside down pictures because if you write English on the stick base yourself, you clearly can tell where the top side and bottom side of these letters should be. Ha ha

    These look Chinese. Maybe candelabra used in a temple or something. I've seen similar ones in Macao and Hong Kong. However, one character is half erased/misprinted leaving 中(something)出 then <佐> and, it seems to me, 意庍登錄. I just can't figure out the meaning of the 4 characters...
    But <佐> can also be a military position, an "aid" etc. in the Japanese navy I think, so, these could be Japanese... Maybe for ceremonial worship?
    Sorry I can't be of much help...

    Very good explanation. if you look at the reading direction of 中领出,we need to read as 錄登庍意。 出 is Japanese way to say 制
