LVC. II.</p><p>"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger. (Luke II)"</p><p><br /></p><p>The engraving comes from a book called "<a href="https://books.google.nl/books/about/Den_schadt_der_catholicker_sermoonen.html?id=bZZMAAAAcAAJ&redir_esc=y" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="https://books.google.nl/books/about/Den_schadt_der_catholicker_sermoonen.html?id=bZZMAAAAcAAJ&redir_esc=y" rel="nofollow">Den Schadt der Catholycke Sermoonen</a> (1597)" (Treasure of Catholic Sermons) written by Martinus Baccius.</p><p><br /></p><p>I made my Christmas card this year with this engraving as basis.</p><p><br /></p><p>[ATTACH=full]542950[/ATTACH][/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
