Could this be an "URN" ? Augsburg Germany

    Hello gang, picked this up today. I am not familiar with metals so maybe you can help me out. First of all, Brass, Bronze, or Copper ?? It's about 10" high and weighs about 3lbs with insert. So I am walking out of thrift store and this guy says to me any ashes in there? I kinda just laughed and when I got back to my car I rubbed my finger around the insert and sure enough it was like soot on my finger. I thought it was an ice bucket or something:eek:. The piece is marked on bottom, looks like KW AUGSBURG. Then on front of piece there is some kind of inscription. Thanks for your help everyone:D.
