I'm not sure it's possible, but do you have any idea about the origin for this bracelet ? It's not marked and hollow on the inside.. maybe Mexican ? Or are they Inuit ? Thank you.. :):)

I doubt they're Inuit, they'd be freezing their toes off. (But maybe that's why they're looking so uncomfortable.)

I've seen similar clasps on Mexican bracelets, but I haven't seen a bracelet quite like this before.

What's the little oval mark on the end of the clasp?

The oval mark is just a darker area.. not a marking..

Not marked means it isn't likely to be Mexican. It looks silver, did you test it? (can't remember if you have a testing kit)
It doesn't ring any bells with me. Maybe somewhere in South America? Not Peru, they mark their silver. Bolivia and Ecuador usually do too.

It may be difficult to find a closer relative, but you never know....
I suspect the Etsy one is from Bolivia, not Peru. Peru generally uses 925 silver, but I have a Bolivian bracelet that is marked 0900, like the Etsy one. And the figures look related to Tiwanaku statues and reliefs.

I like it although they do look uncomfortable or possibly even dead- sort of respecting the ancestors sort of thing but WDIK :)

The ancient "mesoamerican types" really seem to like that crouched, somewhat fetal position while seated. Some cultures seem to squat more than others. :bookworm:

Yes, it does tests as sterling.. to me they look like they Inuits and like they are shivering or cold (and I can't see past that).. but they might also be dead, how knows ?? I'm attracted to quirky jewelry, that's for sure.. :D
    Thank you, everybody ! :):)
