What a shame about that monster crack. :( It will be interesting to see what they say.

“this is an early Baltimore jar. We sold one of these a couple of years ago with essentially identical decoration for $1900, but there were a couple of differences: the other jar had open handles, which adds a good bit to the value, and it was in better condition. It is hard to quantify how badly the crack affects the value, but I think (trying to be conservative) that this would tend to sell for around $800-$1000. I hope this helps and if it's something you're interested in including in the July auction, just let us know.”

    Hi,
"I love those guys". Lord, if they can get 800 bucks for that much damage , God bless them!!!! They have sold some things for me at great prices. If anybody can do it they can.

I’m seriously considering their offer. It’s just I want to avoid shipping the crock so I guess I’ll have to drive to MD.

Interesting, they did not mention anything about that sale.
