    Brown sauce works just as well as ketchup.

    Mak, you can get Fairy Liquid washing up liquid, that's good stuff.

    I've used ketchup to get the green gunk off metal. Works a treat.

    Ketchup works great, I sometimes mix in a little vinegar if I need it to flow into the design. BUT - don't leave it on for longer than 1/2 hour at a time. It is an acid and can strip finish. Much safer to have to apply it 2 or 3 times for 1/2 hour each time than wrist ruining a piece. Unfortunately I know from experience :yuck:

    Also, never, ever get it on rhinestones or faux pearls!
