Featured cute little chinese ? match box holder

thought this was quite sweet

seems a tiny size 1" by 1 3/4"

any idea how old it it

any thoughts appreciated

 

sweet indeed.......match packs...boxes back then did come in very small sizes...specially the funcky wax kind........ sorry, that's all I got !!

 

Here is one a bit similar, figure on front. Seller is saying "early 1900s". Hard to say for sure but probably first half of the 20th century for yours.

Those (both of them) aren't Chinese, possibly German or Birmingham manufacture IMO

 

That seller says it's "cloisonne" -- It's not, is it?

 

Printed tin and that looks typical of 1920s ish British ones.
