Czech side plate

    Another small oval plate from a recent house clearance.
    Plain with gold edging. approx 7" x 4"
    The blob on the left rear looks like a firing impurity.

    Pirken Hammer, Czechoslovakia.
    Collectable? valuable ?

    Looks very utilitarian to me. Not much to distinguish it from a million others.

    I think this pattern is listed on replacements as PIR199. Only the dinner plate is shown and that is out of stock. I assumed that was a platinum trim and it looks worn. The combo of a lack of pieces on replacements and the worn trim suggest minimum value to me.

    Thanks guys.
    It was one of two plates stashed away with some antique items.
    I thought I`d check before packing off to the charity shop.
