    What is the handels material? Where is the daggers from? Year?

    It is beautiful, Kristin. Sorry, can't help, other than that it is hunt related, as you thought. The moose looks like a deer, European.

    Looks like something ceremonial,can't see the center flag and horn detail.But the gold stripe on both edges would make it hard to sharpen without destroying the stripe.

    that looks like a good casting....nice solid blade....the handle...can't see well enuf....but it reeks quality !!!!

    Good quality when it was made,now it is a rusty piece of iron with missing gold overlay and a bug eaten handle.

    The rust looks to be mostly on the surface, that can be solved pretty easily. It is still a beautiful piece.
