I have seen some just like this on various sites and they seem to be pretty consistent. It is showing as a Middle Eastern coffee pot. I guess this question is for me is how old is it really and are there ways to tell? dallah1.png dallah2.png dallah3.png dallah4.png dallah5.png dallah6.png dallah8.png

Not a Dallah, but more likely a ewer for water or wine.

Here is an interesting discussion of Dallahs and their unique characteristics -

Copperware has been made in Turkey for centuries, with different styles made in different regions. Such objects have been traded and used throughout the Middle East and North Africa.

For example, here are some ewers attributed to the Anatolian region of Kayseri that are somewhat similar to yours -

Such details as the raised foot, and the method of attaching the lid are some of the regional differences. I have so far not been able to track down examples of the specific style of your ewer, with descriptions and approximate dates that I would trust.

Interesting information. Thank you for providing. The scorching on the bottom lends itself to being over a flame or some source of heat. I did find one very similar: https://www.chairish.com/product/35...dallah-arabic-hand-hammered-copper-coffee-pot

Yes, I saw that one and several others with the same shape, but the sellers did not seem to be well informed about their specific origin, (or the correct name).

I did see a description of the water ewers that mentioned they could be used to heat water for general purposes, so the evidence on the bottom of yours would be consistent with that.
