    I think also 20's or 30's. Also seems the pictures may be from somewhere in the midwest. Where were the receipts from?

    I suppose it could be Ione. But your ancestors wouldn't have been early farmers there in the 1920s, given it was a Gold Rush town.

    Much of central California looks like the Midwest. Here's Ione. A bit of rise to the land as it's in the foothills.

    That lady's clothing looks like late 1920's - early 30's to me. As for the horse team - WOW... what a powerful group of beautiful horses! I can only go by photos I've seen in our own family collection; but my Granddad was using teams (not so big) like that in the early 30's. And it seems like his dress was very much the same as the man in your photo... as for the dog... LOL... it took a while to identify it AS a dog! Definitely a photo bomb!
