    That one is shape 317. It has been made in 3 sizes. How big is yours?

    How do i need to pin the age down? Ummm, i dont know, thats what i am saying.

    Sorry, what I said was ambiguous. The other meaning: how exact do you need the date to be? A terminus ante quem is not adequate?

    Would be nice to find out to within 10 or 20 years. Just from what i have seen, the markings and a bit of study, it could be anywhere from 1770 to 1860.

    But i have enailed the museum so hopefully i will hear from them on Monday.

    I would not be surprised if this urn holds 10 liters. I guess you could check this quite easily.

    The Wedgwood impressed stamp is quite early, too I am intrigued by the marks and cyphers all being placed on the interior bottom lip and not in the central field, and the robust impression imprints themselves.

    I believe this plant pot is quite old and was created while Joshua Wedgwood was still alive about between 1759-1769. A fitting gift to a good friend of a Wedgwood family member!
