Deco (?) Scent(?) bottle

    Is this little bottle likely to be Deco or trying to be?
    Scent bottle or something else? Only marked 49 on the base and very slim.
    Only 6cm tall including the cap and 1cm wide at the widest point tapering to .75cm at the edges.

    If it doesn't smell like cologne - I'd fill it with Vodka and take it to the DMV with me!!!! :singing::)

    I looked through my commercial perfume bottle book, but had no luck.

    JMHO if it is a perfume bottle it is not one that would be a very desireable bottle because of the screw cap & the rather generic looking bottle.

    Looks more like a "manly" bottle than a perfume, perhaps a special men's scent or after shave? It looks old, Art Deco in style.
