    I bought this plate or footed bowl back in 2018 its been collecting dust in my closet wondering if anyone can tell me of this is considered delft. I can't find the marking any where online. Its been broken and repaired at some point in time. Hopefully someone can tell me something about it.

    Yes, it Dutch Delft, known as Delfts.
    The mark bears some resemblance to the one for 'De Grieksche A' pottery in Delft, but it is not one I know, and the decorating style looks different too.
    @say_it_slowly , do you know?:)

    The design and marking is a perfect match. Thanks for finding that.

    A google image search can be really good or totally worthless; in this case you had a perfect photo to use, and it worked.

    Wow, Janet, I would never have recognized Reeves' mark as a Tichelaar mark.
    So, in that case it is Makkums blue, not Delfts.;)
    Tichelaar, Makkum, began making decorative ceramics (other than tiles) ca 1890, so that would be your earliest date. I have no idea if they made this type of ware in those early days, I am more familiar with their floral ware.

    Here is a little info from Discovering Dutch Delftware about marks. I have a dozen or so pieces from Makkum though mostly polychrome but none exactly like yours. I'd think the mark is pretty early though the dating based on these charts varies. img20200217_133845.jpg img20200217_133918.jpg img20200217_134105.jpg img20200217_134126.jpg
