This brooch give me a Danish feel, but part of me thinks it’s a student piece from a $20/hr jewelry making session at a studio

standard 925 oval mark, with another mark I can’t determine. It resembles something that I recognize, but can’t place it.

Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

To me, the mark kind of looks like an elephant head (and trunk), but that could easily be wrong too......... Enhancedupload_2024-6-9_19-47-41-topaz-denoise-textai-enhance-2x.jpeg

I sort of recognize that blurry mess. Not some random crafter.

Nothing about it says Denmark to me. I would expect better quality from the Danish. (I'll go and hide now)

I half recognize those marks, but Danish they ain't. The artisan wasn't too careful when he hammered the stamp in. French? That could be a really messy boar.

It does look that way but Boar is 800 silver....hmm

It looks almost like an anteater to me, but I can't find any hallmarks online, just silver anteaters!

Boars are always messy.:D But it isn't a French boar's head mark. And as Rachel pointed out, that is for .800 silver.
I considered the Austrian hoopoe marks, but they all have cartouches which include the fineness and the city mark, and they are always punched perfectly.

I think it is a maker's mark. Probably someone in the US.

Waited until I could look on my laptop, but still can't make out anything on the mark. Can't see anything Danish about it either, but while guessing it's likely American, could certainly be from elsewhere, and I like the anodized titanium (or niobium) bit with the silver - I have a pair of titanium earrings from an art fair in the '80s that I still wear occasionally.

There's a Michigan jewelry maker producing somewhat similar figures on a swing pieces, but to my eye, your brooch is better quality...
