Thanks so much, yay!! I can keep you all posted about them if you like- I will likely sell most of it (and keep a piece back for myself). My husband has been sent back today to make sure there was nothing missed :hilarious:

Got an auction house near you? Or send pix to one of the bigger Canadian ones and see what they say. I can't believe these wound up in a ReStore! They look good to me but I haven't seen a lot of Meissen in the flesh. One may be quite old. I betcha someone passed away and the relatives just donated a lot of "knick knacks" not realizing they were someone's prized little Meissen collection! Wowser and what a score!!

I do have a local auction house that I've used before but they are a bit hit and miss when it comes to selling items for a good price. I was going to contact one of the bigger auction houses in Canada, maybe Sotheby's- why not, can't hurt eh? I couldn't believe it either, I've been to the same ReStore many times and found nothing of interest. I wasn't even going to go, it was a last minute whim! I didn't honestly think they would all be legit but I thought at just over $20 it wasn't much of a risk!

Lovely items. Love the pen tray. Just goes to show. There is potential treasure in all shops.

They weren't marked, ahem, and nobody went looking for marks. The one near me Google image searches everything. These would never have hit the floor. Congrats!

The strange thing is, the store does have several glass showcases that were full of things like Royal Albert desert rose items etc. so they had every chance to put them in there. I would feel a little guilty if it was a mom and pop type of family run store but since it's a chain brand I don't feel too bad!

I think this is the best porcelain find I've seen on Antiquers for a very long time. I would suggest that a top auction house looks at them for you. You will pay top dollar in fees but they will reach the top collectors.

A top auction house or one that has specialist high end porcelain sales. I’ve got some really good high end general auction houses in my area but I don’t think these would do very well there. It’s a small niche that’s going to pay top dollar and if they don’t get those eyes they’ll stumble a bit imo.

Thank you, it's been a great week! I have reached out to Sotheby's so I guess we'll see what they say! And guess what... I was convinced I had likely missed a few pieces and went back to the store at lunch today and found three more plates!! I sent my husband back at the start of the week but he missed them. Two have strike through marks (I think seconds?). Perhaps not as rare as a few of the others I shared, but still exciting to find more Meissen!
