condition is very good
some splitting of wood at base

Looking to see era, value whether real or reproduction and what to look for

Most certainly a reproduction. Based on what I can see in these pics (not much), think it could be a later Asian import.

I agree. Not well executed at all. The design and scale are all wrong. For example, compare that chair foot with a period ball and claw foot and you can see the difference. The craftsmanship of the real English and American pieces will take your breath away.
