Agree, you can set up a postal pick up at your house the night before the day of the pick up on the USPS site. Even the priority shoe box size might be good for some dolls.
I have very limited mobility but still manage to get it done.

Johnny Gruelle was the creator. It would seem that any by Volland would still have some value.

Later dolls had to have the heart on the chest to be "real"! Knickerbocker was a big manufacturer.

I have a few of them myself......cute as buttons, but I would be hard pressed to find a collector.

Unfortunately, you are correct that doll interest today is practically nil. Doll shows used to be abundant. I don't know when I've heard of one lately.

If you do decide to go the route of ebay, do not stuff any breakable doll in a box as a collection. I can assure you your buyer would not be happy.....if they survived the trip at all.

I don't know if it's still the case, but a few years ago the small antique all bisque jointed dolls were the "thing". Better if have they have sleep eyes, and mohair wig. Better undressed, unless they wear an antique dress, or one that is a very good replica.

You are correct in grouping as you stated...compos, hard plastic, asian, etc.

Have you heard of "let go"?

    I don't think it's regional.

Look them up and also Craig's list could be considered.

You've already sold on FB with good results.

Best of luck with your task Nancy......I wish I lived near you, I would be more than willing to help.

(I thought I had a lot of dolls, but after seeing your collection, I no longer think so. But my daughter would not agree ).

Thank you all so much for your ideas, Though I sold on Ebay in the past stopped 10 yrs ago when my hubby passed on, He was my shipper and packer, and I freely admit I suck big time atpacking, However I could I am sure pack the small dolls safely, Never thought about PO picking up. so thanks for that tip, Tomorrow I am going to open an acct purely for payments seperate from my other acct, which is what I did when I was on Ebay, and Ill join Etsy or maybe even Ruby Lane, Ebay is too much hassle, but I know a few people who sell on there, so maybe I could ask them, Have 2 calls in to auction houses, one in Houston where my daughter lives and she said she will come get them ,Have sorted out minimal value dolls today and am donating them to Salvation Army, tomorrow. Now on to religion Have a cabinet full of statues medal s,rosaries then baskets and pots, then books, then vintage clothes,The clothes I am taking to Austin next time I go., then coins, postcards, and the list goes on, oh and I forgot about all my pictures, ,Yes I overbought back in the day, but in my defense I have a very interesting house. and on the up side I sold some Kachinas today, also 10 small bride and groom figurines and 4 books locally all picked up and gone, and one of my English friends wants to buy about 30 of my English flower collection so tho I was totally overwhelmed yesterday when I took these photos I more in control today, It is an ongoing process, l

The religious items will sell well in lots on Ebay. Vintage Catholic devotional statues and medals have always done well for me, especially vintage stuff.

I can empathize. Between my mother's collections and my own, I have way too much stuff and although most of it sells when I list it, it feels overwhelming sometimes.

You said you sold some things locally. Are you using Facebook Marketplace? I haven't used it but have heard lots of good things from other sellers about their results there.

I havent had much luck on marketplace, but there is a local antique/vintage page that I sell on, The majority of my buyers are repeat, with a good percentage of dealers thrown in, At the moment, local history items, some pottery, Native American items, coins.and ugly items are in vogue,Everything else seems dead in the water, .I try to list 3-10 items per day, and usually sell about 50% at asking price, and about 40% at reduced price, Occasionally buyers will buy a doll or 2 just because they had one as a child or their daughter had one, ,Hoping by selling on other sites I can increase that rate, ,Again thank you all for your help.
