Do you think this bowl is "flow blue"?

    • Measures 9" wide, 3" high
    • some of the pitting looks a little rusty - does that mean there's iron content?
    • it's pretty heavy - just over 2.5 pounds
    • no makers mark

    Not flow blue. The pattern is kind of messy, but not due to flowing.

    Agree, since the blue is crisp and does not flow, it is not flow blue.

    It has an oriental feel to me, but that is not my area so it is just a guess.

    I think you are onto something with the oriental feel - looks like it might be called "Inban" from Japan, or just a replica of that
