This is a solid piece that does not open. It's quite heavy for it's size and is estimated to be over 150 years old. Here are the images.

    It's a pendulum bob for a clock.

Possibly a clock pendulum that someone has converted to a watch fob.

It's not been converted into anything. It's just a solid piece that does not open. I was told it was over 150 years old. Does anyone know how I would further find this exact piece and hopefully find it's age and origin?

You say it's "quite heavy for it's size." How much does it weight exactly?

I have not been able to weigh it yet, it feels like it weighs about 3 to 5 ounces. That link is very helpful, thank you for sharing. It points me in the right direction.

Yes, it does tell me its origin, now I just need to do some digging to find the year. You all have been great!

I would think that the size and weight are more important than the year(s) it was made. The style of your bob has been referred to as "boy on a fence"

I take it "boy on a fence" can come in different sizes and weight? Would the bigger and heavier be a significant difference in rarity or value?

There are a few rare ST pendulum bobs that are worth money, but they are not this style.

This one is not rare, nor is it really worth much, sorry to say.
