does old Ralph Wood figures have a mark or what? Are these:

    For example, I see a Ralph WOod figural couple on worth point that looks a lot like these. But they dont show the marking. I have no idea how they are marked.

    The writer really objects to the idea of slip cast Staffordshire figures.

    You apparently can reply to the blog through comments. Might be worth asking there.

    Looks to be a Ralph Wood figurine, but is it original, repro, or fake?

    well that is a wealth of information I must say. Thank you that's fascinating. Im guessing that the "R Wood" inscription here is later than 18th cent. THis is a really interesting rabbit hole to go down, I hope we get more comments.

    It’s a very frequently copied figure. The Wood signature is not right for an early piece. It is a copy but it could still be antique say late 19th or early 20th century.

    Yeah. Also the red/scarlett or whatever color that is is not right for the early pieces. I agree with you, most of the ones like this end up being described as late VIctorian.
