I have yet to find another exciting jewelry piece, but I came across this bracelet and COULD NOT OPEN IT:(
But i finally figured it out and thought I'd ask y'all lovely people to help me learn more about it.
I've never seen a pin clasp that has a screw pin. Does this date the clasp?
    Any thoughts?
    Thx:)

Is this long enough to be for a man? You would need someone else to close it for you. Have seen many bracelets that close with this basic design, but only with a pin, never a screw. Looks like a very good quality piece.

Agree. Did you test for sterling?

    No. I didn't see a stamp/mark.
I do have testing kit but it's like a year old...think it still works?

The length suggests it's a newer piece. It used to be that the standard length, unless custom sized, was 7". This is for today's larger woman; too short for a man.

Thank you for that! Now I learned something else to help date bracelets...nice:)
So newer is like 90s? Later?

You find this with choker length necklaces too. Earlier vintage ones are short for many necks today.

I don't know when the 'upsizing' of bracelets took hold but I can see this one in the 90s. Wait for other opinions. Some of our best joolies should be asleep right now.

I think the bracelet is from India and I think is should be worn with the “little worms” on the outside.. but I don’t know how old it is..

Oh wow...India. Can you help me see what makes it look Indian? I'm such a rookie...i just see a silver colored metal bracelet:(

I’m not an expert either.. but based on the “little worms”(paisley? motif) and the screw back clasp.. the counter clock pin screw I’ve seen it in Middle Eastern jewelry, not sure if that’s for India too..
@Any Jewelry is the expert .. probably she will tell you more ..

I've seen that clasp a few times on Chinese pieces; the Indians may use it too. It implies one has a ladies maid to help one put ones jewelry on and that bracelet won't be falling off for sure.

Oh wow...that is interesting too...and i guess it makes sense because you would definitely need help...and it should be more secure.
    Y'all are wonderful:)

@Emma R, do you think you could clean off WITHIN where I've highlighted in RED in the image?? I'm pretty sure there are letters hiding under that dirt or tarnish......might help in identification.....

I'd love to try! What should i use to clean it?
(Prob basic knowledge but I'm just always worried i will damage something.)

Unknown base metal heavily coated with "silver" solder.

If you think it’s dirt try soap & water….otherwise, not sure, maybe a touch of silver polish on a q-tip?? Or wait for @Any Jewelry to check in in the morning….and check with her….
