There are no markings on this lamp I acquired recently. I was hoping to research it and find out approximately how old it is. We removed the felt bottom, completely disassembled it and rewired it. Any ideas of manufacturer and/or age?

What color was the felt? And is that an American eagle finial?

What did the old wiring look like, did you keep it? It could help date the lamp based on the kind of wire and the plug.

    Looks like bicentennial. 1776- 1976.
    Nice lamp though.

Standard mid 20th century example. Some were quite nice . . look for solid brass higher end ones & hard to find double stem versions which were copies of the Tiffany co. made by Manhattan Brass.

Here are more photos. Bottom felt is green. Finial is an eagle. Base is two pieces of marble. Brass pieces throughout. I didn't get photos of the wiring when it was disassembled, but the cord is extremely long and had a couple breaks in it so my husband cut the bad section out.

The felt is green and the finial is an eagle. I added some additional pictures to this thread. Thanks.

I think the green shades are much nicer than the white ones.

Didn't realize you'd put so much work into it. Condition certainly improved with your care. Color green of felt consistent with date range above.

Yes, adds more interest. And a more attractive light.
