Dragon or lizard with burnt design patterns

    dragonburntdesigns1.jpg dragonburntdesigns2.jpg dragonburntdesigns3.jpg dragonburntdesigns4.jpg I found this object, I originally thought it was a dinosaur but now I see it was probably meant to be a dragon or a lizard. I think I've seen this type of finish work in an Islanders work before. Perhaps Tahiti?

    It's 13 inches long.

    Sorry, using my phone and the software for Android I find is generally much poorer than Windows or Mac. I will fix it up soon.

    It is beautiful. Made by a Pitjantjarra lady, in what used to be Ernabella Arts Centre, northern South Australia.
