    If you're looking for a different platform other than eBay to sell, check out Artplode. Artplode reaches a worldwide market and charges a flat rate of $60 USD to sell your art piece. A minimum listing price is $1000, however. A lot of other online galleries will charge a commission. 25-35% is not out of the norm.

    eBay charges 10% and PayPal will take their almost 4%. That's $140 on a $1000 piece.

    Might be worth checking out some reviews from other sellers.
