OK, I've stared at this all day. Anyone care to hazard even a guess? I think the first words are Made In. Maybe. ;) Could it be Japan?

The word sure doesn't look like Japan, but I think it just has to be. The pottery certainly looks like Awaji. Pretty.

That square mark might be a sort of Japanese chop, maybe. Yes, I like it - but bought it for the puzzle, mostly. ;)

HO! You're spot on. Just found the Sanpei mark on Gothenborg. 1922 to 39 by the look of it. Thank you kindly. ;)

This is why other eyes are useful. ;)

It's about ten inches tall. I promised to tell the chap I bought it from what it was, if I found out. Cost all of three dollars, and yes, I like the colours a lot.

Odd day yesterday. Pee'd with rain Sunday, but it was a holiday Monday, so a car boot sale was on, in GLORIOUS hot sunny weather. Car boot sale was heaving, so I found a few decent bits, including six sherry glasses which I desperately needed. And a couple of nice bits of Bitossi Rimini for almost nothing.

Oh, and a dart board. Why, I ask myself, did I buy a bloddy dart board!

"Pee'd with rain"!!!! Ha!!! Not heard it put quite that way before. :)
"...sale was heaving"? What does that mean?
Not heard of Bitossi Rimini before and I like it! We have a new member who lives in Rimini but I haven't seen her lately...

I can't recall the last time I heard someone say they were "desperate for six sherry glasses." :p

Sounds like a fun day, though!

I'm rather partial to a glass or two of ice cold sherry whilst cooking dinner, you see. I'd broken some of my copitas, which are the only thing to drink cold fino from.

    Heaving. REALLY busy!

Rimini is a lovely place, I used to go there a lot as a child - we'd stay in Riccione.
