    Hi again everyone!

I had a beautiful find in the last few weeks and I figured I would share with you. For this purchase, I didn't have any proof that what I was purchasing would be silver, but I went with my intuition and took the risk. The seller had three different listings, and I purchased three items at about $150. I was hopeful on the entire lot, but only one item turned out to be the real deal....Thankfully it was the BIG ONE! I just finished polishing this piece, and like many other of my favorite finds it's unique and beautiful.

I've figured out the origin and the maker, can you too? Definitely appears to be a larger size or shape from the makers usual items; in my humble opinion it's unique and lovely. Soda can in the photos for size reference, I hope you enjoy!

W00T! Where did those marks come from? I take it the two-handled cup is Victorian white metal?

The marks are on the base near one of the feet, and yes sadly the cup is white metal..

Next question - who dunnit? The cup looked like quadruple plate from here, and I recognized the candleholder. ('cause I'm old like that.)

Wow Mr Nate, that is a stunning piece and I agree, very unique :) One out of 3 is nothing to sneeze at when that piece is the winner:) Good on you!
I think I have figured out the maker - not sure if we are supposed to say or not?

I think it is an ant rather than a spider

I knew the origin was Spain, but couldn't find a site for Spanish makers that included this mark. How did you find it, cxgirl?

Here's another object, the same bird. Company mark is the ant. The 5-pointed star a "standard since 1934 noting Spanish silver of at least .915." The bird may well be a heron as commonly found in Spain.

That's definitely the right maker, and I think it's a heron too (not that I really know much about birds...)... I forgot to add my scale photo:

If it's .915 silver at that weight, I'd say you did OK.(LOL)

No marks on the candle holder or the cup unfortunately.
