Indeed. Among other things, it is excellent for removing brown stains inside coffee or tea cups, which seem very hard to remove otherwise. But I take a damp paper towel and some baking soda, and they are gone in a flash.

The Duraglit cleaned off the crud from the shell and the tarnish from the silver inlay. But not to the point where it lost patina, I hate that. I then gently buffed it with an old soft cloth and worked a smidgen of olive oil in with my finger tip.

Brown stains on cups? Denture cleaning tablets every time.

If it's really stuck in the glaze, hydrogen peroxide.

Someone told me to use walnut oil on wooden salad bowls. I tried it and it DID go rancid after awhile. Ugg.

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

I know that walnut oil goes rancid. I bought some once... only once. If I used oil more often it wouldn't have gone bad. But I have to be careful.

The whole bowl was rancid. Never again.

I use mineral oil I get at CVS for wooden bowls, works great and doesn't go rancid.
