That's a modern Italian mark on the edge. 1118 FI?

Whoops! You already knew it was Italian.

There's something about that horse head that keeps whispering "hotel logo."

Could it possibly be a shot glass? And does look like a logo of some sort.

Many moons ago wasn't there a scandal or big-news story about something nefarious (or just plain sad) that was going on (or had gone on) at a "Palomino Motel" in Las Vegas or maybe a different city out West.

I know it looks a bit "fancy" for what I envision a "Palomino Motel" using as a logo but . . . maybe those motels were a bit "fancier" back in the day.

You're not thinking of the Mustang Ranch, are you? Not that I would -- ahem -- know anything about such things.

Debora, I think you may be right -- I must have substituted one horse breed for another.

I do tend to "think outside the corral" on occasion.:shame:   :hilarious:

It looks like high end hotel silver, an egg cup to be precise. No clue whose, but that's definitely a logo.

Given it's solid silver, I rather favour it being a trophy of some sort.

And bespoke. I would assume a rich man's fancy of some sort. But, unfortunately, I don't travel in those circles. Key is the logo which does look modern. If you could only identify...

I've been following the query since posted. I haven't had any luck on the logo ID either. My first thought on Italian and horse was Ferrari auto maker, but as all know their logo is a rearing horse and not a horse head. Then chess piece, knight, wandered though the gray matter. Like others I think hotel - then again railroad or cruise line??? Then another again, sterling silver is not common in hotelware. Could also be from an exclusive men's club, riding club, polo club??

The maker's number is 1118 from Firenze/Florence, Italy - date after 1968. I tried to find this maker with no luck. I could only find Firenze/Florence numbers up to around 500.
