It looks like a Cairo gold mark, seemingly 1953-1959 but beyond that...? The piece is a souvenir scarab ring, but a nice one. I wanted to list it but can't find the gold marks anywhere. The pix are upside down apparently.

Thanks. Now to hope someone reads more Arabic than I do ... which wouldn't take much. I think that's a 14k Cairo mark, but the middle one doesn't look like the bird.

    Nice ring, evelyb.
I agree, 14k gold. The town mark is not very defined, but it looks like Alexandria to me.
The date mark could be the 1946 mark, but the mark in the centre is a mystery.
According to the information I have, the bird national mark for gold was introduced in 1916. It always looks roughly like this, sometimes a bit more stylized:

That's what I was thinking too. An ibis that ain't, but the city mark is completely Egyptian. So...?

It must be Suzanna Hoffs? I think I found something. The city mark might be Asyut instead of Alexandria, and that center mark could be King Farouk's cypher. Apparently it was used as a mark for a few years in the 50s. That would fit with the other marks. It shouldn't surprise anyone that a scummy guy like Farouk would make life for difficult for people even after he was permanently outta here.

I'd take a few. The Egyptians might object to their military honors being worn to do the grocery shopping, but I might not pay attention.

I do attempt to not wear military honors I haven't earned, but do wear some of my dad's stuff on Memorial day sometimes.
