To my eye, they also lean more towards William IV or early Victorian than Rococo Revival. Although they have cabriole legs, the overall design remains restrained and well balanced. They lack the heavier carving, pierced splats and exuberant scrolling that I would normally associate with mid- to late-Victorian Rococo Revival chairs.
