It was amazing to see something so old up close. It was built into the kitchen when they built this building which I believe was in the 1940's perhaps the 30's. Some apts here also had faux fire places in the living room. She passed on many years ago and the new neighbors redid the kitchen removing the hooiser style cabinet for a new updated kitchen. But they left the bones of the apt so it has some terrific features that makes one feel like they are going back in time. They have brown furniture in the living room and bedrooms, and it is like entering grandma's house but in a good way.
