Both items are connected to a department store in Toledo, Ohio where I grew up & where my Mother worked for 10 years baking all the pies that were sold at the bakery counter, cafeteria, & the lunch counter. I have many happy memories of meeting my Mother downtown after she got off work to go shopping or to the movies. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie49" alt=":happy:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /><img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie49" alt=":happy:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p>The first one is one of the bakery boxes you would carry home your goodies. I found it at a shop in Toledo many years ago. Every time I see it I smile because I remember my Mom & her pies which were absolutely to die for. <img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie53" alt=":hungry:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /><img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie53" alt=":hungry:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /><img src="styles/default/xenforo/clear.png" class="mceSmilieSprite mceSmilie53" alt=":hungry:" unselectable="on" unselectable="on" /></p><p><br /></p><p><img src="https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/A0gAAOSwfVhaIr5s/s-l500.jpg" class="bbCodeImage wysiwygImage" alt="" unselectable="on" /> </p><p><br /></p><p>The second is one of those penny holder things that have a horseshoe on them & say you will never go broke as long as you hold onto it. I stumbled upon it a few months back on ebay. It was from Tiedtke's back in 1965 & had a penny from 1953 which is when I was born.</p><p><br /></p><p>I know someday my kids will find them in my cabinet & wonder WTH I was doing with those 2 things because she quit working there & the store was long gone before they were even born.[/QUOTE]</p><p><br /></p>
