"Famous Artist" whose work you've never seen...

Or actually you've seen it many times if you're of a certain age, but only in magazines and books.

Edwin Eberman, who co-founded and developed "Famous Artists Schools" which had ads in seemingly every magazine (and match book covers if I recall correctly?) in the 50's, 60's and 70's. Googling around, found that Normal Rockwell was one of the many artists who contributed to the school, and there are many copies of the Famous Artists course on ebay, along with a book Eberman put out with drawings of Nantucket. And apparently he did a fair amount of commercial work as art director for Look and McCalls.

I also read that the Famous Artists archives went to the Norman Rockwell museum. Yet strangely, I could find no record of any of Eberman's works selling at auction, nor does askart have any records. Maybe more strangely, I came across one of his original works in a frame. (behind glass so ink colors look strange, but consistent black irl).
