    hi folks

these are a few pieces i picked up from the charity shops yesterday, all for not very much but did pay £5 for the Amethyst marked silver ring as its quite a nice chunky design , any idea on the mark ?

pretty sure the earrings are bakelite by the colour alone

freshwaters are marked 925 on one side of clasp and a markers mark ?, to the other

not sure what the marcasite thing is, or if its some repro type of thing, no hallmarks, dubious to it being silver

the last ring was very cheap as it has no silver hallmark, but id be very surprised if it wasnt silver

the yr mark seems nobody really knows

any help on any of the piece would be super smashing great

The marcasite thing is a sweater guard or sweater clip.

No , But 40 years ago I used one to turn napkins into bibs for my daughter. Just throw away the napkin when you leave the restaurant.

The YR may be Yves Rocher. Cosmetics but they also did jewellery.

Might be the finding maker perhaps. I do like those earrings.

Think Yves Rocher right. (Kinda like Avon's offering.)

Yeah I'm not sure it's the same mark, both of those marks the YR is in relief mine looks engraved in

I'll get a better picture of it

Testing is the only way to find out if the ring is silver, what the stones are and if the earrings are Bakelite. Other than that you are just guessing!

    Quick rub, definitely bakelite

Need some more testing fluid for the ring though

The earrings were a lock. No question of what those were. Yves Rocher did have jewelry made for them, but I don't think it was sold here in the USA.
