I think the big yellow ware mixing bowl and batter bowl are by Jeffords and have some value.

I can’t tell if the glasses are Art Deco or mid century - which really shows how little I know : -) I do think they are hand engraved but I may be proved wrong. $3 for the set!

The small yellow ware bowls are custard bowls.

I absolutely love the big blue and white bowl but I have no idea if age yet. It “thuds” like yellow ware.

I bought these Korean War medals today.
The recipient never got to hold them as he was one of the first to be KIA in 1950.

They were posthumously awarded in 1953

They were in the possession of his brother who is in his late 80's and he feared they would be dumped if he died, he has no one to leave them to.

I promised him they would be placed in my display cabinet and I would be the custodian for as long as possible.
    They will never be dumped.

    Obverse.

Amen. I have my dad's medals from Korea. They're going into my sister's safety deposit box if anywhere. Period. Medals shouldn't leave the family unless there's no family left.

Your Catherine Hill 'Circus Rider' was inspired by Toulouse Lautrec's 'Fernando, the Rider' from his At the Circus series.

Woot! Today I found my electricity back on and was quite happy with that. I did literally find jewelry in my dreams, but alas when I woke up that fancy hotel in Canada where the owners let me into a stash was... just a dream.

Hello there! Found this for sale on Facebook for about $20. I'm still contemplating if I should buy it or not as I'm not familiar on the brand but I find it pretty.

I tried searching for Hayashi brand but couldn't find a logo similar to this one. Anyone have an idea on this brand and if it's worth it for $20? I don't know if this is even vintage.

Id guess 1950s-60s. Very pretty and worth $20 if you plan on enjoying it. But does it have any resell value ? Probably not as fancy china is going begging these days.

People can’t really put these dainty cups and saucers in the dishwasher because of the gold on them and that affects buying decisions. Plus the gold is a problem put in a microwave.
