Found a box of pinbacks yesterday marked "buttons $5". I opened it thinking sewing buttons and found these instead, along with some friends. The Pirates one is going to a fan locally and the Mr Spock is probably MINE. The rest and their buddies will sell. The fun two are the Welcome Home buttons, but they're not WWII; they're WWI! I still haven't sorted the community yard sale stuff. I did find this yesterday for $5. Not perfect, I will gently clean her and redo her pearls (somebody actually put a bracelet around her neck.) She has a scrape on the back of her head, I probably did it knowing me and glassware. I kept picking her up and putting her down, and the seller walked over with a bag and said "you know you are going to buy this." I cracked up. Got her flowers today. 20210502_141802.jpg

Lastly, this was a dollar, no damage. Los Angeles Potteries veggie and dip platter. Matches nothing in the house- love is color blind. 20210502_143745.jpg

I always try to pick up these old city business directories when I find them for a reasonable price. Was very excited to be able to add one of this age to my collection/hoard!

Today’s car boot was a bit of a wash out as the forecast was poor so the sellers stayed at home. On the plus side the total spend was £3.50 so can’t complain!.

An unresearched cap badge and a couple of religious pieces that seem to sell well in a little lot.

    Hi KSW,
The universal says your mug is a character mug. A Toby jug has the entire body of person molded. I have been "reminded" several times of the difference between a Toby jug and a character mug.

@KSW - that's a military bandsman's cap badge, and I ought to know which one. Swiss Army knives do well.

Ruth, those badges were made by a company called Lincoln Enterprises, owned by one Majel Barrett Roddenberry. They held the patents on Trrek stuff like that, because Gene had the nous to hang on to them, rather than ceding it all to Desilu.

    Stuffs.....
