I hoarded the Met catalogs as a kid. They were full of the most beautiful things......things I thought I'd never have! I guess after 45 years, it's about damn time! (Reference to R&B singer Lizzo, haha)

    Rescued from a scrapper:
    ScrapperPins.jpg
All three 14K, a couple of balls missing from the tassels but I still love it!

And from the Historical Society's table at their antique show last week:
    SS_LocketClosed.jpg
David-Anderson 1920s silver and enamel locket with gold decoration. I will remove the gold filled chain and use it for something else.

Many thanks to i need help, Bakersgma and especially Aznathalie for helping me ID the mark when I posted for help on the Jewelry forum :D

A blithering idiot? I realized I had one in my pile not long ago. Good thing I found something in the hoard, since finds in the wild have been few and far between!

My tassel pin, the one I hope is Vauxhall, and a sterling and pearl heart I put together. Had the heart for ages and FINALLY got the right half-drilled pearl to glue on. The second shot is tigerseye Buddhist mala, a labradorite pendant and a brass Buddha pendant on pearls. All three are what I found last weekend. Hoping for better this weekend. Images are quick'ndirties with my tablet in LOUSY lighting.

I see it now. It is very translucent. I think it is natural variations or the shadow of the gold band. Let me look again.

Optical illusion caused by the band showing through the stone. Too bad That would have been cool. I shined a light through each side and used a magnifier. Nothing there.

That's definitely writing. I can't blow the original up but that's writing.

That Sevres plate is a Bavarian blank (sold white) that was decorated in 1912. Dunno who she was, but she signed it. China painting was a hot hobby at the time.
