The site is glitching tonight. That went up twice somehow...

I’m always happy to find a piece of local history. At this address there is now a huge hospital system. I'm guessing it's from the 1950s/60s.

You guys did better than I did this week. Did find a little jewelry today worth not much more than I paid. No great shakes. But I love that teapot! Local history pieces are the good ones.

    Thanks!
I have quite a large teapot collection but, up until today, all were English. This one tempted me outside of my box.

The other day on Thursday I picked up my second largest monthly check ever at my antique mall. On Friday I dropped a third of it on this super-thick silver cuff bracelet by Aaron Brokeshoulder. I absolutely love it.

The crazy big (for me at least) turquoise ring has a good backstory: I found it for cheap in a thrift shop months ago, but the ring part was seriously bent. I think I've mentioned before that I'm a high school teacher. Well, I have a student who wears 1-2 interesting rings PER finger (and thumbs!). I asked her, "Hey Maggie, where can I get a ring repaired?" Well, turns out Maggie's mom is a smith and she repaired (and replaced) the back of the ring.

A(nother) validation of being a teacher.

Whaddaya know... someone else thinks 1950s!
    Info from their listing:
    F. S. Louie Dragon Peacock Teapot, 1950s, with the old marks. Older version of the Dragon Phoenix teapot.
    Their teapot:

    Some interesting info:
    https://www.uidaho.edu/class/anthrolab/collections/aacc/research/restaurant
Apparently, when Chinese restaurant ware has the name/address of a restaurant, it can bring in some $$. THIS cup achieved $51.

My teapot is an even better find than I thought!
