Doesn't always work, LOL. When I write in Canadian English, I get a lot of squiggly red lines under some words.

One group I forgot about, and that I overpaid for, and one that made up for it.

In the first, the green heart is Sphinx; the beads were added later by somebody, but they look OK enough to leave. The corals are coral. One sterling bracelet is scrap, it's not finished well, but the other is James Avery. The earrings look and feel like dried orange peel. The bracelet wants to be amber but..not so much.

The second one? Ding! Ding ding! Dingdingdingding! The pierced earrings were duds, one stuck to a magnet and the other has paint-backed rhinestones, but the rest was a jackpot. The hollow cross and chain are 14k. So is the chain on the cameo. Between the three the scrap value was $800 yesterday. The cameo is Romeo and Juliet or similar, about 6cm tall. Sterling European style horseshoe pin and earrings with glued rhinestones. The green pin is Kramer; the blue one is lesser quality and unmarked. The blue wreath set has a stone out, which I've got. The Christmas pins were going to be tossed; one is missing it's back and the tree is missing a stone and no longer lights up. The cross has two people's names engraved on it and the chain isn't that great; it's headed to the scrapper. Total price paid....$20 including tax.

I tried some once. The taste is medicinal at best and it didn't encourage trying it again.

Is the cameo mount gold too or did someone just add the gold chain?

Yes, they are. I type neighbour, and it wants neighbor. I am almost fanatical about keeping it Canadian/British, LOL.

Or, as some of us call it, auto-incorrect! I prefer to type on a real computer, so that all of the flubs are my own darned fault.

It's marked for 14k; I just got my 10x in there. The stronger loupe wouldn't fit. Company name is VanDell, which might be the one that made sterling, but I'm doubtful.

They did solid silver for certain, but I'd never seen actual gold before.
