Right word is COMPAQ, which is a distinctly different company from Pac Tel and it's various related companies afaik. So some sort of cross company event...award? Challenge coin?? Pac Tel got all new computer systems and was excited about future tech?

Yes, some kind of cooperation effort in 1988. Searched the internet and Compaq was introducing a new product then but couldn't find a tie-in with Pac-Tel. Is a puzzlement (as the King of Siam said.)

I took pictures when I got home, but haven't uploaded them yet. First, I found a Perthshire paperweight for US$10. It looked awfully good in the antique store, but the price tag was taped to the back. Got it home and the price tag fell off and...P 1989. In the previous store, it was 75% off week. It's a thrift and next week is their bag sale. They even included the jewelry. Bought a few pieces, including one that's stone and thread and...sterling and 18k with the John Hardy mark.. $2.50.

This one's on eBay and the seller is dreaming on the price, but it's the same necklace. I'd be betting more on $25 to another dealer.

I'm looking at the girl on the shelf below. If she's combing her hair with what looks like a banana, her twin sister is sitting on my dining room table.

Found this interesting framed photo at a small antique show this morning:

    IMG_3008.jpeg

    IMG_3009.jpeg

Opening up the back, it's a 1972 photo contest entry and then Christmas present to 'goober' from Zach.

All photo info included as well. There's a Mt. Meliss(a) in Eastern Oregon in the Wallowa Mountains. Could be where this is.

I went to an estate sale a couple of weeks ago, here is some of what I brought home:)

a few bits of silver, love the one has the blue liner still with it and undamaged. The shakers have glass inside them, I've never had shakers like this before. Better photos will be on the silver thread as I need help with a couple of things:)

Cool shaving mirror with milkglass bowl, no maker marks, one on-line says German but no idea if that is correct. I'm thinking 1930s

Chalet Glass basket and I believe the dish is Fenton beaded melon

ARABIA OF FINLAND KAJ FRANCK POLKA DOT CAT PITCHER

some more glass - Viking blue vase on the left, the piece in the centre has controlled bubbles and is heavy but no idea on maker and the sweet little piece on the right is another one I'll have to try and figure out. I'm thinking an overseas piece

    DSCF5168.jpeg

a bunch of keys, some old and some decorative and a lock with correct keys and one clock key

    DSCF5139.jpeg

a little porcelain inkwell on a pen tray with blotter - haven't figured out who made it yet
