I don't think those bracelets are celluloid. The material looks wrong.

    I’m not sure that’s a majorica clasp.

I googled various Majorca clasps. Not all are sterling or have pearls. They have the French wire loupes at the end and are heavy pearls...no peeling whatsoever ever. This clasp looks older, perhaps silver-plated. Hobe made white Majorca pearl strands with rhinestone rondelles, and I have genuine freshwater pearls with rondelles and a sterling clasp. Maybe the clasp was replaced because they wanted to keep a sterling clasp? I don't think they are glass, but who knows. Lumii_20250325_084500791.jpg Lumii_20250325_084454442.jpg

I visited St. Anne de Beaupré when I was doing a French summer course at the Université d'Ottawa back in the dark ages.

I’m distinguishing specifically Majorica, with an i, just for clarity. That’s the foremost maker of Mallorca pearls. Majorica didn’t sell their pearls to other makers, but other Mallorca makers may well have done.

Hmmm...maybe that's how Hobe got them... I understand the difference now, thank you, Bear!

    ..
Hobe Pearls, made in Majorca, Spain, are known as high-quality, simulated pearls that closely mimic the appearance of natural pearls, often sought for their beauty and durability.
Here's a more detailed look at Hobe Pearls of Majorca:
    • What they are:
Hobe Pearls are imitation or simulated pearls, not natural pearls, manufactured in Majorca, Spain.
    • Manufacturing process:
They are made by coating a solid ball, likely glass, with a proprietary coating that includes fish scales, giving them a pearl-like shine.
    • Why they are popular:
They are known for their high quality, durability, and ability to closely replicate the appearance of natural pearls, making them a popular choice for jewelry and costume jewelry.
    • Hobe Company:
The Hobe Company manufactured and sold these pearls, and the informational tag on their necklaces states: "Hobe Pearls of Majorca are the most beautiful and durable simulated pearls in the world. They actually duplicate the serene luminous beauty of natural Oriental Pearls".

There you go. Majorica were and are high end, often use silver and gold, so I’d doubt they made for Hobe, they wouldn’t need to. Their name is enough. But there’s many other good factories on the island.

Not sure the Radley is right. The little Scottie silhouette and quality doesn’t look correct to me and unsure about the typeface.

Michael Kors always looks iffy to me. The only Radley I know of is Boo from To Kill a Mockingbird.

I vote with Luna. Whoever cut that rock did a nice job.
